Relief for Impulsivity

The term "Amygdala Hijack" describes the moment when our brain is overwhelmed by intense emotions, usually fear or anger, in a split second. Instead of responding calmly, the amygdala takes control and puts us into an impulsive fight, flight, or freeze mode. Rational thinking fades into the background, creating a "tunnel vision" effect. As a result, we often overreact to harmless triggers because the limbic system (especially the amygdala) perceives a threat where there may be none.
Neuro-Somatic Release for Self-Regulation
This is where my Neuro-Somatic Release technique comes in, which is based on neurogenic tremors. Through targeted shaking, the body is supported in releasing stored stress energy and calming the overactive amygdala. The nervous system "powers down," allowing the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-recovery mode) to re-emerge. This physical regulation has a direct impact on the brain: the amygdala can return from its alarm state more quickly, while the prefrontal cortex – the center for conscious, reflective thinking – regains greater freedom of action and decision-making. By allowing and guiding the body's neurogenic tremor impulses, we promote a natural self-regulation that weakens impulsive reactions and reduces chronic stress.
